Mohamed Sathak Trust, a charitable educational organization, nas established on 26th October 1973 at Kilakarai, by the Philanthropic Mohamed Sathak Family of Kilakarai, Ramanathapuram DDistrict, Tamil Nadu, with the sole purpose of helping the deprived people of rural background and to provide quality education.

The vision of the missile man was also the vision of our Founder Chairman, Alhaj. Mohamed Sathak Thamby and his family. The Sathak family of Kilakarai was troubled and grieved by the prevailing living conditions of the people of Kilakarai in the nineteen seventees. People hardly gave importance to education and most of them were involved in fishing and trading. The philanthropic Mohamed Sathak family wanted to bring in change, a change for betterment and upliftment. They realised that this is possible only through education, for education is the most powerful weapon for renaissance and refinement.

The spark ignited, flared up and with wings of fire, the Mohamed Sathak Trust was established in 1973 on the shore of Bay of Bengal in Kilakarai. To begin with, a Polytechnic College was started to provide sound technical education to the underprivileged students of the rural community. Slowly, the wings expanded covering other areas of the education sector - Engineering, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Arts & Science and School. Today, Mohamed Sathak Trust has seventeen institutions under its fold and these institutions are world class institutions, providing quality education to students of all walks of life.

The helping hand was all that was required for the men and women of the soil of Tamil Nadu. The hand holding started way back in 1973 still continues and we have a long way to go as we keep fulfilling our promises for years together. Fifty years of service in yet another step to surge forward.
